Role Overview: The Associate in Corporate Development plays a pivotal role in shaping Kraken’s global growth strategy through M&A and strategic investments. This role involves working with a cross-functional team and engaging with key industry players to execute growth initiatives and transactions.
Responsibilities:
Build financial models and support business case development for M&A and venture investment transactions.
Perform market research and engage with industry players such as incubators, founders, and investors.
Manage multiple high-priority initiatives and develop relationships within the financial and crypto markets.
Desired Experience:
BA or BS degree from a top-tier university with 3-6 years of relevant experience in investment banking, venture capital, management consultancy, or startups.
Strong financial modeling, valuation skills, and proficiency in Excel.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to convey complex information effectively.
Additional Skills: SQL proficiency is desirable but not required. A strong network in crypto and traditional financial markets, and technical knowledge of industry software, are advantageous.
