  • Role Overview: Kraken is seeking an individual for the Data Intelligence team to leverage data analytics to drive strategic decisions and enhance user experience. This role involves detailed statistical analysis and machine learning to refine business metrics and improve fraud detection strategies.
  • Responsibilities:
    • Spearhead the development and refinement of key business metrics and elevate reporting capabilities.
    • Translate complex data into actionable strategies for fraud prevention and enhance transaction security.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to reduce fraud and improve the trading ecosystem’s health.
    • Lead data-driven initiatives to identify and mitigate fraud risks, ensuring a secure user experience.
    • Provide insights and recommendations to support strategic decisions related to fraud detection and prevention.
    • Manage and analyze large datasets to identify fraudulent patterns and trends.
  • Desired Experience:
    • Minimum 5 years in data analytics, with a solid understanding of SQL, Python/R, data modeling, and pipelining.
    • Experience with BI software such as Superset or Tableau and familiarity with data warehousing development.
    • Knowledge of cryptocurrency ecosystems and financial markets is crucial.
  • Additional Skills: Ability to simplify complex data insights for diverse audiences, proficiency in data tools like Druid, Hadoop, Airflow, and familiarity with statistical concepts.

Compensation: The target annual salary range for this role is $101,000 to $176,000, which includes a bonus program, equity options, wellness allowances, and comprehensive benefits (for U.S. employees). The final compensation package will reflect the successful candidate’s skill set, experience, and job scope, ensuring alignment with Kraken’s standards and recognition of top talent.
