Meta’s Partner Engineering (PE) team is a technical powerhouse driving business growth through Meta’s suite of apps. Joining PE means shaping the metaverse’s future by collaborating with strategic partners, including developers, creators, and top global enterprises. The Reality Labs (RL) Platform team, within PE, aims to propel Meta’s Virtual Reality (VR) and Augmented Reality (AR) products by pioneering scalable solutions for the Metaverse ecosystem.

Role:

As a Partner Engineer at Meta, you’ll operate within the Reality Labs (RL) organization, partnering closely with engineering teams to enhance product features, developer tools, and third-party integrations. Your primary focus will be on fostering strong technical relationships with key partners and leveraging your blend of technical, product, and business acumen to ensure partner success.

Responsibilities:

  • Master various aspects of the AR/VR infrastructure stack and underlying frameworks to architect and implement innovative solutions.
  • Collaborate with external partners, as well as internal Engineering and Product teams, to analyze product usage metrics and devise impactful solutions that meet partner needs.
  • Provide real-time technical support to partners, troubleshooting issues in collaboration with engineering and product teams, and addressing performance and scalability challenges.
  • Utilize a diverse skill set to cultivate productive partnerships with partners, independently tackling complex technical and business requirements.
  • Contribute to program scalability by delivering new features, bug fixes, and educational materials while fostering knowledge-sharing within the team.
  • Mentor peers to promote a positive team environment and foster professional development.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Professional experience as an engineer and/or Game Technical Director.
  • Proficiency in Typescript, C#, or C++ with a background in real-time gameplay mechanics or game systems.
  • Experience shipping products with stringent runtime performance requirements, such as mobile or 3D applications/games.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership and ability to drive consensus in cross-functional partnerships.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Involvement in the development of immersive VR games or experiences.
  • Experience shipping games using Unity, Unreal, or similar engines.
  • Knowledge of modern GPU pipelines and 3D rendering architectures.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field.
