This position involves crafting personalized, fun, and social learning experiences that integrate seamlessly across the web, cloud, and Roblox Studio + Services.
Role Overview: Reporting to the Engineering Manager of the Knowledge pod, you will lead the technical development and architectural vision for innovative projects such as AI Tutors, Personalized Learning Systems, Automated Documentation Pipelines, and Social Learning initiatives. This high-impact role is crucial for advancing Roblox’s mission to empower creators with the tools and knowledge they need to succeed on our platform.
Responsibilities:
Architect and lead the development of systems that enhance the learning experience for Roblox creators.
Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other engineers to ensure high standards of development quality and velocity.
Mentor a growing team, providing guidance and leadership to junior engineers.
Engage with cross-functional teams to drive and support innovation within the company.
Desired Experience:
8+ years of experience in software development with a proven track record of building complex, cross-functional systems.
2+ years in a technical leadership role, ideally involving product-facing solutions.
Strong experience in web applications and backend services, with a knack for robust, scalable architectures.
Additional Skills:
Expertise in compiled languages such as Go, Python, C#, or Java.
A deep understanding of the product development lifecycle and agile methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to mentor and inspire a team.
