Work Opportunities: As a Principal ML Engineer on the Content Safety team, you will tackle Roblox’s toughest problems, ensuring all user-generated content promotes a safe and civil environment. Role Overview: You will be responsible for designing and implementing systems to detect and mitigate problematic content across Roblox. This role involves developing high-scale backend services, ML models for content safety, and tools to support content review operations.
Responsibilities:
Develop ML models to identify unsafe content, enhancing our ability to maintain a safe platform.
Build backend services that operate at high scale, supporting safety features across Roblox.
Define and influence the roadmap and long-term strategy for content safety.
Collaborate across teams to integrate safety solutions into all facets of Roblox.
Desired Experience:
8+ years of software development experience, with significant expertise in shipping products.
5+ years of experience in developing and implementing large-scale ML models in production environments.
Proven track record of tackling complex problems that span multiple teams and require deep technical knowledge.
Additional Skills: Proficiency in modern machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow or PyTorch. Experience with real-time data processing and content moderation technologies. Strong understanding of ethical AI practices and a commitment to promoting responsible AI. Excellent collaboration skills to work effectively across multiple disciplines within the company.

Compensation: A competitive salary ranging from $267,720 to $331,640 annually, based on experience and qualifications. This role also includes equity compensation and a comprehensive benefits package.
