Role Overview: As a Research Scientist at Roblox, you will tackle unique technical challenges, help scale our services to meet increasing demands, and push the boundaries of what is possible in 3D digital spaces. Areas of focus include distributed systems, voice and NLP technologies, and content creation tools.
Responsibilities:
Lead and identify new research initiatives that align with Roblox’s long-term vision.
Collaborate with engineering teams to transform research into viable products and enhancements.
Mentor graduate interns and junior scientists, fostering an environment of growth and learning.
Publish findings and represent Roblox in academic and industry forums.
Desired Experience:
Ph.D. in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Demonstrated ability to publish in top-tier journals.
Experience in a product-driven research environment, preferably in tech industries.
Additional Skills: Proficiency in C++ and Python; experience with relevant software libraries. Strong collaborative skills and a proven track record in academic and industry partnerships.

Compensation: Roblox offers a competitive annual salary range of $421,510 to $488,360.
