Role Overview: As a Backend Software Engineer at MetaMask, you will focus on creating and maintaining scalable backend services, enhancing the security and user experience of our widely-used crypto wallet and gateway to the decentralized web.
Responsibilities:
Develop backend solutions using Node.js, with a strong preference for expertise in TypeScript.
Manage robust database interactions, particularly with PostgreSQL, to support application scalability and performance.
Implement continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) strategies to enhance development processes.
Collaborate in a distributed team environment, contributing to agile projects that demand high collaboration and adaptability.
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 5 years in backend software engineering with a proven track record of developing production-level applications.
Proficiency in Node.js backend development; experience with TypeScript is a significant advantage.
Familiarity with PostgreSQL and agile development practices.
Experience with CI/CD tools and methodologies.
Additional Skills: Leadership experience as a Team Lead or Technical Lead is highly regarded. Knowledge of microservices architectures and blockchain technology, particularly Ethereum, is beneficial.
