This position is based at our headquarters in San Mateo, CA, but offers flexible working arrangements including remote, hybrid, and onsite options to accommodate diverse needs and lifestyles.
Role Overview: As a Senior Software Engineer, you will lead the development and integration of advanced payment solutions and fraud prevention systems across our platform. You will tackle technical challenges that come with processing millions of transactions, ensuring they are handled securely and efficiently, while also fostering innovation in the evolving landscape of digital payments.
Responsibilities:
Design and implement new features and architectures for various purchasing flows.
Develop scalable backend services capable of handling an increasing volume of transactions and user data.
Own projects end-to-end, from the design phase through deployment and maintenance.
Collaborate with teams across the company to ensure a seamless user experience and maintain the highest standards of security and reliability.
Desired Experience:
At least 5 years of experience in software development, with a strong background in backend systems.
Proven ability to design and manage large-scale distributed systems.
Deep understanding of REST, GRPC, API design, and microservices architecture.
Prior experience with payment systems is desirable but not essential.
Additional Skills: Knowledge in payment gateway integrations and fraud prevention mechanisms. Strong analytical skills and the ability to tackle complex problems. A keen interest in staying abreast of technological advancements and applying them to solve real-world issues.
