Role Overview: As a Backend Developer on the Crypto team, you will play a pivotal role in building and maintaining the security and efficiency of Kraken’s systems, enabling safe and timely crypto transactions for clients worldwide.
Responsibilities:
Develop robust cross-platform systems within Kraken’s game engine to power innovative UI features.
Collaborate with internal teams to ensure the technology supports a wide range of digital experiences.
Focus on creating scalable, maintainable code that anticipates future technology expansions.
Desired Experience:
Minimum 3 years of backend development, preferably with experience in blockchain ecosystems.
Strong proficiency in Typescript (Node.js), Rust, Docker, Kubernetes, and GNU/Linux.
Additional Skills: Excellent grasp of cryptographic concepts, security compliance standards, and scalable application design. Passionate about Bitcoin, cryptocurrencies, and developing secure, privacy-focused software.

Compensation: The targeted annual salary range is $110K to $176K, excluding bonuses, equity, and comprehensive benefits like wellness allowances and 401(k) plans.
