Work Opportunities: We are seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Roblox Operating System (ROS) team. This pivotal role involves building and scaling our internal productivity platform that governs company operations, impacting how work is planned, organized, and executed across Roblox.
Role Overview: The Engineering Manager will report directly to the Chief Information Officer and work with a high level of freedom and autonomy. You will be responsible for building and mentoring a new team, advocating best development practices, and collaborating daily with internal and external partners.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various teams including engineering, product, finance, and people operations to refine and implement system requirements.
Work directly with executive staff to develop products that have a significant impact on the business.
Hire and mentor a team, fostering growth and innovation on some of the most critical projects at Roblox.
Develop and maintain backend APIs that will be utilized by engineering teams across the company.
Create proof of concepts and specification documents for review by multiple stakeholders.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and meet performance standards.
Desired Experience:
3+ years in an engineering management role, plus 7+ years in a technical leadership role.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a similar technical field.
Experience leading full stack development teams and delivering high-quality products.
Passion for building tools that improve organizational culture and operations.
Additional Skills: Experienced in modern development practices and frameworks. Strong ability to build inclusive and diverse teams. Effective collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and executives.
Compensation: The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $315,850 to $383,910 annually. Benefits include equity compensation, comprehensive health coverage, and a flexible vacation policy.
