Role Overview: The Object Capability Engineer will focus on developing the “ocap kernel” within MetaMask. This involves creating APIs and user interfaces that allow mutually suspicious programs to interact securely, paving the way for advanced, secure composability in Web3 applications.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement the ocap kernel in MetaMask to enhance secure interactions between applications.
Collaborate with the team to improve the developer experience and composability of MetaMask Snaps.
Design APIs that cater to both internal and external developers, ensuring security and ease of use.
Stay updated with the latest developments in JavaScript and Web3 technologies to continuously improve the product.
Desired Experience:
Strong background in software development, with specific skills in JavaScript and security-minded application development.
Experience with API design and implementation.
Proven ability to adapt and quickly learn new technologies and complex systems.
Prior experience in blockchain technology and Web3 is highly advantageous.
