Role Overview: We are seeking an experienced Principal Backend Engineer to lead our game services backend team. This role involves defining the roadmap, designing architecture, and implementing new core systems to enhance our game services.
Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and maintain APIs and tools for game services.
Collaborate with game designers, product owners, and other tech leads to develop innovative features.
Maintain and optimize existing systems for scalability and performance.
Lead code reviews, advocate for high-quality coding standards, and mentor other backend engineers.
Desired Experience:
Significant experience with NodeJS.
Proficiency in relational databases (MySQL preferred) and familiarity with NoSQL databases (e.g., Redis, DynamoDB).
Proven track record of solving performance and scalability issues.
Strong project management skills from conception to production.
Additional Skills: Experience with AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes is a plus. Background in developing backend systems for multiplayer games. Knowledge of both monolithic and microservices architectures.
