Work Opportunities: As a Principal Software Engineer on the Account Identity team, you’ll lead the development of a unified Identity platform crucial for ensuring a safe, civil, and appropriate experience for users. This role involves designing backend services that manage and safeguard user identities across Roblox, directly impacting our mission to maintain user safety and privacy.
Role Overview: You will report to the Engineering Manager of the Account Identity Team. Your primary responsibility will be to architect, build, and maintain robust backend systems that support identity verification and attribute exposure to internal and external developers. Your work will be vital in enhancing user trust and safety across the Roblox platform.
Responsibilities:
Lead the Account Identity Platform pod, focusing on delivering a secure, accessible, and reliable identity management platform.
Design and develop backend services that operate across large distributed systems.
Manage end-to-end solutions from conception through deployment.
Establish and advocate for next-generation backend standards within the team.
Desired Experience:
6+ years of experience in designing and developing reliable, scalable, and large-scale distributed backend services.
Proven track record of building and deploying products to production.
Expertise in compiled languages such as Golang, Java, or C#.
A strong commitment to architectural excellence and a customer-first mindset.
Excellent collaboration skills across various teams.
