Role Overview: The Application Security Engineer role is crucial as MetaMask continues to grow. This position focuses on ensuring the security and integrity of our applications, which manage significant digital assets and identities.
Responsibilities:
Conduct security assessments and reviews throughout the software development lifecycle.
Collaborate closely with developers to integrate security measures into product designs and implementations.
Stay ahead of emerging security threats and advocate for best security practices within the team.
Engage in hands-on coding and problem-solving to fix vulnerabilities and enhance MetaMask’s security posture.
Desired Experience:
6+ years in software security, with substantial experience in web application security.
Proficiency in JavaScript and familiarity with the web and mobile security landscape.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote setting.
Additional Skills: Experience with Ethereum and decentralized applications is beneficial but not required.
