Role Overview: The role involves building new services to meet critical product and business needs using modern technologies like Node.js, and designing scalable systems to solve novel problems. This includes driving the architectural decisions for Magic Eden’s next-generation platform.
Responsibilities:
Developing new services to address critical product and business needs.
Designing scalable systems with modern cloud technology.
Articulating and implementing a long-term vision for backend system scalability.
Collaborating with engineers, designers, and product managers on product and technical roadmaps.
Writing high-quality, well-tested code to meet customer needs.
Desired Experience:
Minimum of 6 years in software engineering.
Experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
Strong coding skills and commitment to quality.
Passion for building an open financial system that brings the world together.
Additional Skills:
Experience in rapid growth environments.
Familiarity with A/B testing frameworks.
Experience with blockchain technologies.
Experience transitioning from monolithic systems to microservices.
Proficiency in AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB.
Experience building financial, high reliability, or security systems.
Compensation: This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $185,000 to $220,000, alongside equity options. Benefits include flexible PTO, comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, wellness and home office allowances, and a 401k plan.
