Role Overview: The Data Engineer role involves taking ownership of data replication, ETL, and warehousing infrastructure to enhance user experiences, trust and safety models, and business intelligence applications.
Responsibilities:
Designing, building, and maintaining end-to-end data pipelines.
Collaborating with Data Scientists on data requirements and models.
Developing scalable ETL processes using best practices for data ingestion, storage, and processing.
Working with stakeholders to identify and prioritize analytics requirements.
Proactively monitoring data pipelines, troubleshooting, and resolving data-related issues.
Contributing to the continuous improvement of data engineering practices.
Desired Experience:
5+ years of experience in data engineering.
Fluency in data replication and transport systems (CDC, Debezium, Fivetran, etc.).
Experience with big data technologies (Snowflake, Hadoop, Spark, Airflow, Flink).
Strong knowledge of AWS services related to data storage, processing, and analytics.
Expertise in SQL and proficiency in at least one programming language (Kotlin, Python, Go, Java, TypeScript).
Familiarity with data warehousing concepts and schema design principles.
Strong problem-solving skills and a data-driven mindset.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Additional Skills: Familiarity with blockchain data, its structure, and general semantics of EVM blockchains is a plus but not required.
