Role Overview: The Senior Backend Engineer role at Magic Eden is pivotal in building new services to meet critical product and business needs. You will be involved in designing scalable systems, articulating long-term visions for backend infrastructure, and working closely with various teams to translate product and technical visions into actionable roadmaps.
Responsibilities:
Develop new services using Node.js to meet critical product and business needs.
Design scalable systems using modern cloud technology and industry best practices.
Establish a long-term vision for maintaining and scaling backend systems.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, product managers, and senior leadership.
Ensure high-quality and well-tested code to satisfy customer needs.
Desired Experience:
10+ years of experience in software engineering.
Extensive experience in designing, building, scaling, and maintaining production services.
Proficient in service-oriented architecture and writing high-quality, well-tested code.
Additional Skills: Experience in rapid company growth (from startup to mid-size). Familiarity with Blockchain technology (Solana, Bitcoin, Ethereum, etc.). Experience with AWS, Web3.js, NodeJS, Postgres, MongoDB. Background in building financial, high reliability, or security systems.

Compensation: The full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from $215,000 to $250,000, along with equity options, flexible PTO, comprehensive health benefits, and a wellness and work-from-home allowance. Additionally, we offer a 401k plan in the U.S.
