Role Overview: The role in focus is for a Senior Software Engineer with a strong full-stack development background. You will be responsible for developing minimum viable products (MVPs), running experiments to validate ideas, and iterating on them quickly. This position plays a crucial role in building and maintaining platforms and systems that support internal and external teams interacting with our large-scale production systems.
Responsibilities:
Develop MVPs using full-stack web technologies (Node.js, React, TypeScript, HTML, CSS).
Build platforms, systems, and services that facilitate interactions within large-scale production environments.
Design, develop, test, deploy, maintain, and enhance software.
Innovate and iterate by incorporating new ideas and technologies into our platform.
Desired Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
10+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience in frontend development with strong JavaScript/HTML/CSS skills.
Proficiency in one or more web frameworks (React, Vue, Angular).
Knowledge of general-purpose programming languages (Java, C/C++, Python, Rust, Go).
Experience with web application development, Unix/Linux environments, distributed and parallel systems, networking systems, and developing large software systems.
Additional Skills: Experience managing large scalable distributed services using a microservice architecture. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP).Strong understanding of the web stack, including protocols and web server optimization.Proven troubleshooting skills in fast-paced production environments.Strong sense of web design and a good grasp of user experience fundamentals.
Compensation: Magic Eden offers a competitive salary ranging from $215,000 to $250,000, based on geographical location and other factors. Benefits include equity options, flexible PTO, comprehensive health, dental, and vision plans, wellness and work from home allowances, and a 401k plan in the U.S. Compensation may vary based on experience, skills, and other business considerations.
