Description
LimeWire, the file-sharing website that allowed users to download music and other information for free online until it was shut down in 2010, has been relaunched as an NFT marketplace.
Austrian brothers Julian and Paul Zehetmayr bought LimeWire's intellectual property and other assets with the goal of lowering the entry barrier into the field of NFT collectibles for both artists and collectors in the music industry.
LimeWire has already signed its first major contract with Universal Music Group (UMG) in order to make digital music collectibles more accessible to a wider audience.
