San Diego-based male grooming company Manscaped has filed a trademark application expressing its intention to enter the metaverse.

The trademark application indicates that the company intends to provide virtual goods, including virtual hair trimmers, skincare products, cosmetics, clothing, and accessories for use in online virtual worlds.

Trademark attorney Josh Gerben shared the news earlier today via Twitter.

Manscaped is not the first personal care and beauty company to announce its intention to enter the metaverse.

A few days ago, Johnson & Johnson filed trademark applications for NEUTROGENA and AVEENO in order to enter the metaverse with virtual beauty, skin care, sun care, and cosmetics products.

Last month, L’Oréal filed 17 trademark applications for well-known brands like Maybelline, NYX, and IT Cosmetics in order to enter the metaverse with virtual cosmetics.
