Some of the oldest tennis rackets, dating from 1800 to 1900, are being offered to the public, along with non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

The collection, dubbed “Antique Rackets,” includes 91 iconic racket models, including the 1876 model by the American manufacturer A.G. Spalding & Bros and the 1910 model by Brothers Tsygankov manufacturing.

Slava Babienko, an IT entrepreneur and tennis enthusiast, spent nearly ten years putting the collection together.

A top-notch, animated NFT, a digital replica of the racket displayed in a 360-degree animation, will be delivered to buyers together with the original, physical product.

The NFTs were created using a special scanner, which helped in producing a complete NFT copy of the actual existent exhibits.

The collection is now available on OpenSea, with each racket costing between 0.22 ETH and 0.92 ETH, or $462 and $1,930, respectively. Also, some unique antique tennis rackets will be auctioned off during the Roland-Garros tournament, which will take place from May 28 to June 11.
