Bentley Motors, the world-renowned British manufacturer and marketer of luxury automobiles and SUVs, has announced its entry into the non-fungible token (NFT) space with the upcoming launch of a one-time NFT drop.
The drop, which is scheduled to launch in September 2022, will be limited to 208 NFTs. The number 208 is significant to the brand because it represents both the highest speed of its fastest Grand Tourer (the Continental GT Speed) and the complete production run of the famous R-Type Continental of 1952, which influenced the contemporary Bentley design DNA.

The Bentley NFT collection will be minted on Polygon, an Ethereum scaling platform that has connected millions of people to Web3.
Proceeds from the NFT sale and future activations will go toward the brand’s charitable endeavors. Bentley will increase its assistance for students interested in engineering, design, and manufacturing, all of which require new talent on a yearly basis. Bentley also intends to assist groups trying to improve sustainability, particularly in the transportation industry.
