The Marilyn Monroe Estate has partnered with Zeblocks — a duo composed of artist Guillaume (@Ars0nic) and developer Sebastian (@Cheaterflums) — to launch a non-fungible token (NFT) project.
Under the name of “Modern Muse,” the project will include a mint pass NFT that will give access to the Modern Muse NFT.
The mint pass NFT depicts Marilyn Monroe with her signature on a red background and will be available in 3,333 pieces. The mint allowlist will go live on OpenSea on Thursday, February 23, 2023, at 1 p.m. EST. The cost of a mint pass is 0.33 ETH, or approximately $541.
The mint pass will guarantee one mint for the Modern Muse NFT at 2 pm EST on the same day.
Using Zeblocks’ fully on-chain generative algorithm, each unique NFT will portray Marilyn Monroe in a variety of styles.
This is not the first time Marilyn Monroe has been the focus of an NFT initiative; in October, rare images of Marilyn Monroe shot by legendary photographer Richard C. Miller were sold as NFTs on the NFT marketplace Phto.
