The 3D virtual space inside Decentraland is known as LAND, and it is a non-fungible digital asset minted on the Ethereum blockchain.

LAND is divided into parcels that are identified by Cartesian coordinates (x,y). Users can purchase these parcels as NFTs with MANA, Decentraland’s cryptocurrency token.

The purchase grants users ownership and complete control over the environments and applications they develop, which can range from static 3D landscapes to more dynamic applications or games.
