OpenSea has announced the wide availability of its purchased NFT marketplace aggregator Gem under the title OpenSea Pro.

The leading NFT marketplace acquired the aggregator a year ago. Since then, the Gem team has been hard at work building and refining the platform into its new form: Gem v2, which OpenSea has rebranded OpenSea Pro.

The aggregator delivers information from over 170 NFT marketplaces as well as features to provide a seamless experience.

Among the improvements made since last year are streamlined gas fees, mobile compatibility, and live cross-marketplace data.

The Gem team has also announced the ‘Gemesis’ NFT drop as a prize for early adopters to commemorate the launch of OpenSea Pro.

As a result, eligible users who purchased an NFT on Gem before March 31, 2023 will be eligible for a free Gemesis NFT until May 4, 2023.

This could be another move against OpenSea’s main competitor, Blur. In this regard, OpenSea decreased fees to 0% in February — while the creator earnings model was adjusted to a minimum of 0.5%— and integrated BNB Chain NFTs last December to attract new users and enhance the NFT trading experience.
