American designer fashion clothing brand Perry Ellis has filed trademark applications for PERRY ELLIS and PERRY ELLIS AMERICA indicating its intention to enter the metaverse.

In its trademark applications, Perry Ellis describes its intention to offer “virtual goods” such as footwear, clothing, headwear, eyewear, bags, sports bags, and sports equipment.

Trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis shared the news in a tweet entitled “Perry Ellis is coming to the Metaverse.”

Perry Ellis is joining the growing list of big brands that are expressing their intentions of entering the metaverse and providing a new, virtual experience for the community.

Recently, Hugo Boss has filed a trademark application titled “BOSS” to enter the metaverse with virtual goods such as clothing, watches, jewelry, and footwear. Victoria’s Secret also filed four trademark applications a few weeks ago indicating its intention to enter the metaverse with virtual lingerie and other fashion items.
