Personal Care Brand Dove to Enter the Metaverse with Virtual Deodorants, Soaps, Perfumery, and more

Dove has filled a trademark application expressing its intention to enter the metaverse.

American personal care brand Dove has filed a trademark application for its DOVE name and logo, showing interest in joining the metaverse.

According to the trademark application, the company aims to provide:

  • Virtual goods, namely, perfumery, deodorants, skincare preparations, hair care and styling preparations, art, clothing for use in online and virtual worlds;
  • Retail store services in relation to virtual goods and merchandise;
  • Virtual reality and interactive game services;
  • Entertainment services in the nature of organizing, arranging, and hosting virtual performances and social entertainment services.

The news was shared earlier today via Twitter by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

With these trademark applications, Dove joins the list of corporate giants interested in entering the metaverse. Johnson & Johnson and L’Oréal have recently filled similar trademark applications.
