Following the release of its first NFT in collaboration with Adidas, luxury Italian fashion house Prada has announced the release of its first independent non-fungible tokens.

The NFT initiative, dubbed Prada Timecapsule NFT Collection, is a monthly online event on the first Thursday of each month that allows consumers to access both a gender-neutral physical product and an NFT (a GIF NFT that depicts the digital equivalent of the physical item). Customers will have 24 hours to secure the products.

The Timecapsule NFT drop #30, created in partnership with Cassius Hirst, offers a one-of-a-kind technical fabric shirt, available in both black and white, and sporting Cassius Hirst’s signature brands, a mask and brain scan, both indicative of unity and union.

Each limited-edition Timecapsule item has a unique serial number and is supplied in packaging unique to the object it holds. The linked NFT will only be given out when the actual product is purchased; it will not be sold separately.

Prada wants to quadruple its shares at the first Timecapsule drop, which is scheduled for June 2 at 9 a.m. ET.

Prada has also announced the launch of Prada Crypted, the NFT platform on Prada.com, and the brand’s new Discord channel, a place to exchange ideas and find inspiration, uniting the worlds of fashion, art, architecture, film, music, the Web3, and more.
