Samsung, after announcing its intention to enter the NFT world through the launch of smart TVs that support the purchase and trading of NFTs, has entered the metaverse world by partnering with Decentraland, an Ethereum-based virtual reality platform.

Electronics giant Samsung has opened a virtual version of its flagship store 837 in Decentraland, 837X world. The physical store is located at 837 Washington Street in New York City’s Meatpacking District, Manhattan.

Through the Connectivity Theater and Sustainability Forest, fans will experience a unique digital experience in pursuit of 837X Non-Fungible Token (NFT) badges and a celebration at the Customization Stage.

“At Samsung 837X, we’re excited to tell our connectivity, sustainability and customization stories in a novel way, in a one-of-a-kind space,” said Michelle Crossan-Matos, Senior Vice President of Corporate Marketing and Communications at Samsung Electronics America.

“The metaverse empowers us to transcend physical and spatial limits to create unique virtual experiences that could not happen otherwise. Innovation is in our DNA, and we can’t wait for you all to experience this burgeoning virtual world.”

Samsung plans to launch a multiverse approach on new platforms throughout the year to bring the Samsung 837X experience to more people. Every Samsung 837X world will offer fans a unique experience.
