The Space Needle, a 605-foot-tall spire in the Seattle Center with an observation deck and a rotating restaurant, is ready to enter the world of non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

In fact, the building’s company owner submitted a trademark application to protect a drawing of the renowned structure.

The company plans to provide a “downloadable multimedia file containing artwork relating to the Space Needle authenticated by NFTs,” according to the application, which was submitted to the USPTO on October 27.

Trademark attorney Josh Gerben announced the news on Twitter.

Although the NFT utilities are yet unclear, there is a chance they will be tied to tours, events, or the lounge that the building offers.
