The collaboration of The Sandbox and DanceFight has resulted in the introduction of a metaverse initiative aimed at supporting the fight against worldwide hunger.

The collaborative effort introduces “Community Garden,” a virtual realm designed to channel support directly to Action Against Hunger, a prominent global humanitarian organization striving to eradicate world hunger.

Built around dance culture, the virtual environment allows participants to engage in dance battles, appreciate street art, and enjoy music from leading producers.

In addition, the space includes a digital shop offering fruits and vegetables as non-fungible tokens (NFTs), with 100% of the proceeds contributing directly to Action Against Hunger.

Launched on December 18, Community Garden is currently accessible through DanceFight’s dynamic dance-centric community hub, Cypher City.

This collaboration between The Sandbox and DanceFight is poised to evolve further in 2024 with the introduction of the DanceFight game within The Sandbox, promising an enhanced and immersive street dance gaming experience in the metaverse.

This initiative aligns with a growing trend of leveraging Web3 technologies for social and humanitarian causes.

Notably, in June, Nestlé introduced an NFT collection to support Brazil’s biome preservation through the sale of NFTs commemorating the Chocolate Surpresa brand.

In a parallel development in 2022, Kia’s $500,000 donation to The Petfinder Foundation, facilitated in part by NFT sales, led to the adoption of over 22,000 shelter animals globally.
