American singer, songwriter, actress, and television personality Christina Aguilera has filed a trademark application signaling her plans to enter the metaverse and NFT market.

According to the application, submitted to the USPTO on September 16, the world-famous singer aims to provide:

  • NFTs;
  • Crypto collectibles;
  • Virtual goods, namely, art, avatars, clothing, headwear, footwear, jewelry, beauty products, and more;
  • Musical performances, music concerts, and virtual appearances in the metaverse.

The news was shared earlier today via Twitter by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

Christina Aguilera is hardly the first artist to declare a desire to enter the metaverse. Billie Eilish and Lizzo have both previously submitted similar applications.

Last month, singer Doja Cat collaborated with JBL to launch fruit-themed NFT headphones.

Usher teamed with Rémy Martin in July to offer a limited-edition bottle along with an NFT.

These are only a few of the musicians who have been transported by the NFT trend and metaverse wave, which is projected to transform the actual world and provide fans a more immersive experience with their favorite artists.
