Tyson Foods Files Trademark Application To Enter the Metaverse with Virtual Food

Tyson Foods has filed a trademark application for “TYSON” expressing its intention to enter the metaverse.

Tyson Foods has filed a trademark application for “TYSON” expressing its intention to enter the metaverse and provide non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

In its trademark application, the company describes its intent to provide virtual food for online virtual worlds. 

Also stated in the trademark application is the company’s intention to offer retail store services featuring virtual goods.

Trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis shared the news via Twitter.

Recently, several major food companies have expressed interest in exploring the NFT world and joining the metaverse.

A few days ago, Conagra Brands filed trademark applications for “SLIM JIM” and “MEATAVERSE”, indicating its intention to enter the metaverse.

Likewise, UTZ filed trademark applications for “UTZ” and “UTZ SNACKS”, signaling its intention to enter the metaverse with virtual snack foods.

Among other big companies that have applied for trademarks in the past are Panera Bread, McDonald’s, Wingstop, Panda Express, and others.
