Heidi Klum, German and American model, television host, producer, and businesswoman, has filed a trademark application for “MODELVERSE,” signaling her intention to enter the metaverse and NFT space.

According to the application, the model aims to provide “downloadable software and mobile applications featuring a marketplace for exchanging goods authenticated by non-fungible tokens (NFTs).”

Plans also include the creation of an online marketplace for buying and selling NFTs, cryptocurrency exchange services, financial services, and more.

The news was shared earlier today on Twitter by metaverse trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

A wide range of players within the fashion industry, including well-known brands and people, have demonstrated a strong interest in the new, virtual world and new technologies that enable NFTs.

Decentraland hosted the Metaverse Fashion Week two weeks ago, and many iconic fashion brands made their Web3 debut, including Dolce & Gabbana, Tommy Hilfiger, Etro, Elie Saab, Imitation of Christ, Dundas, Nicholas Kirkwood, FaithTribe, Chufy, Monnier Frères, Hugo Boss, Franck Muller, DKNY, Gary McQueen, and Guo Pei.
