French luxury fashion house Louis Vuitton has filed four trademark applications, signaling new plans to provide non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to the trademark applications, submitted to the USPTO on June 23, the company aims to offer:

  • NFTs;
  • Virtual goods, places, or characters for use in online and virtual environments;
  • Services for the retail sale or rental of virtual goods, digital collectibles, and NFTs;
  • Financial services related to virtual goods, places, or characters.

The news was shared earlier today on Twitter by metaverse trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

Apparently, Louis Vuitton is not slowing down on its way to Web3. It updated its Louis: The Game in April with new levels and free NFT prizes.

Many other fashion labels are following in the footsteps of Louis Vuitton and joining both the metaverse and the NFT realm. Champion, Under Armour, Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger, and more have already filled similar trademark applications.
