Under Armour has filed trademark applications to enter the metaverse with virtual clothing and sports goods.

American sports equipment company Under Armour has filed trademark applications for “UNDER ARMOUR” and the “U+A” logo, expressing its intention to enter the metaverse.

According to the applications, the company aims to provide virtual goods, including apparel, footwear, headwear, sporting goods, and accessories for use in online virtual worlds.

Likewise, the company aims to provide online retail store services featuring virtual goods.

The news was shared earlier today on Twitter by trademark attorney Michael Kondoudis.

It’s not the first time a renowned clothing company expresses its intention to enter the metaverse. Several fashion companies have filed trademark applications to jump into this new, exciting virtual world, including Hugo Boss, Tommy Hilfiger, Levi’s, Versace, Champion, and DKNY, among many others.
