Taco Bell has filed trademark applications to enter the metaverse with virtual restaurants, food, and drinks, and provide NFTs.

Taco Bell, the American-based chain of fast-food restaurants, has filed trademark applications for its name and logo for entering the metaverse and embracing non-fungible tokens (NFTs).

According to the trademark applications, the company aims to provide virtual goods, including virtual food and drinks, authenticated by NFTs.

Also, the company’s plans mention the provision of virtual restaurants, featuring home delivery in the real world, where users can earn reward points and virtual currency which may be used to purchase food and beverages in the real and virtual worlds.

Many food brands are entering the metaverse, and Taco Bell is following suit.

Recently, also KFC, Burger King, Panera Bread, McDonald’s, Wingstop, Panda Express, Tyson Foods, and others, have filed trademark applications to express their intention to enter the metaverse and provide NFTs.
